Hargans Cottage Terms & Conditions
When booking Hargans Cottage, we have a few guidelines for you to follow.
Please read below and agree by checking the box on the enquiry form before proceeding with your enquiry.
Check in is from 2pm & check out is 10am
Maximum number of guests: 2 adults only
Cancellation Policy
Full Refund: You are eligible for a 100% refund of the total amount paid if you cancel your reservation at least 7 days prior to the check-in date.
Partial Refund: If you cancel your reservation less than 7 days but at least 48 hours prior to the check-in date, you will receive a partial refund as follows:
- You will receive a refund of 50% of the total cost for each night of your reservation.
Important Notes:
- All cancellation requests must be submitted before the specified deadlines to be eligible for a refund.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the reservation.
- The refund amount will be calculated based on the original reservation details.
- Late check-ins or early checkouts are not eligible for refunds.
- Or because we would love you to keep your stay, we are more than happy to post pone and reschedule your booking for when the time is right.

Additional Guests
Our cottage is equipped for a specific number of guests. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. It is against Health Department Regulations for more persons to occupy a property than there are beds to accommodate them. At no time during your occupancy is the number of guests staying to exceed the number you booked for OR 2 guests in total (unless Hargan’s Cottage provides prior approval). If evidence suggests that there is more than the booked amount of guests we reserve the right to either charge you for the extra guests OR evict all guests without a refund. The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay/visit.
Structures
Tents, caravans and other structures are not to be erected or occupied at the property.
Smoking
Smoking and vapouring on the property is prohibited indoors. Smoking indoors will result in an additional cleaning fee being charged.
Cleaning
The house must be left in the tidy condition as it was upon arrival. Excess cleaning fees may apply if the property is left in a dirty condition for example kitchen equipment including dishes not washed and put away, BBQ and oven not cleaned. Should the property be damaged upon arrival, or damages occur during your stay, please report to us immediately. A fee will be charged for soiled mattresses or other furniture such as couches and/or smells of cigarette smoke inside the cottage.
Pets
Unfortunately, no pets or animals are permitted on the property or inside the cottage at anytime. You may see our granddog Sunny, who lives next door to us, he is very friendly and loves to say hello.
Commercial activity
No commercial activity is to take place at the property without approval.
Children & infants
Hargan’s Cottage is NOT suitable for children or infants.
Events
Functions, parties and large group gatherings are strictly prohibited at Hargan's Cottage.
Noise
The property is a privately-owned home, and we enforce a good neighbour policy. Please keep all noise inside the cottage after midnight. Hargan’s Cottage is intended for holiday purposes only.
Lost key policy
Keys that are not returned at time of check-out will be charged at a cost of $25. This will be charged to the credit card held as the bond.
Used towels
Place all used towels in the wire basket in the bathroom for cleaning.
Indemnity
Guests and their visitor’s actions, conduct and safety are the responsibility of the Guests. A condition of entering and/or staying at this property means that all Guests understand and agree to indemnify the owners against any responsibility or action(s) (legal or other), due to any action(s), incident(s), loss or injury(s) while within or outside of the premises (including, but not limited to, the grounds, facilities, structures, etc.) during a stay or at any other time. Guests are held fully responsible and accept liability for the actions of visitors using the property and facilities, which may result in injury or harm when staying or visiting the property and it’s surrounds.
