Meet The Maker

Waionehu is the work of Sharlene Russell, who began with handmade soy wax tablets and has grown the brand into a wider collection of candles and botanical pieces, all rooted in slow, creative, everyday living.

Made in Queensland, the name is inspired by the simple pleasure of creating a beautiful life wherever you happen to call home, and that same quiet, seasonal rhythm runs through everything Sharlene makes.

Beyond the products themselves, Waionehu is built around a genuine love of creativity and country-inspired living, baking, gardening, art, and the small rituals that make a space feel like home.
